Description

 

A flexible standalone machine, the new Automatic Universal Tester with Touch Screen Digital Speed Control and Data Acquisition, or MULTILOADER, is the smart choice for road testing labs and generally for any test that requires displacement/speed control. In addition to CBR and Marshall tests, the 50kN capacity and fully variable speed of 0.05 to 51 mm/min enable many other applications, including quick undrained triaxial and unconfined/uniaxial soil tests, indirect tensile strength, IDEAL-CT, semi-circular bend, and Leutner shear tests.

The MULTILOADER tester has a rigid two-column structure with a height-adjustable upper crossbeam. An ergonomic cabinet contains the load jack, DC motor, and controls. The microprocessor makes sure that the test speed and travel are automatically controlled. Prior to the test, the operator can impose travel limits to automatically end the test.

No external transducer is required for displacement measurement. The firmware enables the setting of up to 18 test profiles and the performance of transducer calibrations while storing data onboard. The user interface is a  large integrated 7″ touchscreen graphic display, supplied with a stylus pen, which can show the real-time test graph and the transducer data and allows the testing data to be stored on a USB pen drive or downloaded through a LAN communication port in Controls, txt or ASCII format. All the accessories have to be ordered separately.. The machine has built-in data acquisition with six channels dedicated to two strain gauge load cells and two potentiometric linear transducers; one of each can be used during the test. The processing unit’s ability to regulate the speed in a closed-loop mode without having experienced speed calibration effects or tension fluctuation effects is a crucial feature.

The front panel is fitted with an emergency button for prompt stopping of the machine.

Description
 
The brand-new SPEEDLOADER tester is the perfect answer for a road testing lab. The CBR and Marshall tests, Indirect Tensile tests, Quick Triaxial tests, Unconfined and Uniaxial soil tests, and all tests that can be performed under displacement control are all possible with the 50 kN capacity and the fully variable test speed of 0.2 to 51 mm/min. To meet the needs of either the field or the central laboratory, the machine can be fitted with analogical or digital load/displacement measurement systems as well as dedicated accessories. The rigid two-column structure of the SPEEDLOADER tester includes an upper cross beam that can be adjusted in height. The load jack, DC motor, and controls are integrated into a base cabinet with a unique design. The machine’s processor, with a memory up to 300 tests, gathers and processes test data. The user can control the test speed with the new Automatic Variable Speed 50 kN Load Frame, which is easily adjustable and displayed on the digital display. Furthermore, the test stroke can be predefined at the start of the test with an automatic stop, preventing overloading of the device and the test subject and ensuring operator safety. This significant element also allows the operator to calibrate the machine’s speed using micrometric adjustments. The lower platen’s motion direction is also showcased on the display. Two operating leds—one for machine switched on and the other for travel direction—and an emergency button also are installed on the front panel.

The firmware provide the digital speed control and a number of important test functions as follows:

  • Other testing speeds (Custom) between 0.2 and 51 mm/min, can be easily set.
  • Selection of maximum platen displacement. 
  • The automatic stop of the machine avoids machine and specimen overloading, thus assuring operator safety.
  • Rapid approach function, to reduce the testing time.
  • Rapid platen return to speed up the platen base return at the end of the test.
  • Speed calibration function by firmware. The test speed is originally factory calibrated using a polynomial interpolation. A test point is provided to verify  the speed with a standard tachometer.
  • Emergency stop button as required  by the CE prescriptions.

Balanced Loader universal tester
Description

BALANCED LOADER is a new addition in the range of Controls / IPC Global universal automatic testers. The machine is designed to automatically perform most of the tests included into Balanced Mix Design procedures, including IDEAL-CT, IDEAL-RT, Indirect Tensile Strength, Semi-Circular Bend test and many more.

This model features a wide two-column frame which is fitted with an upper crossbeam that can be set at various heights depending on the accessories to be used. The 50kN capacity jack is driven by a brushless motor, housed in an ergonomic cabinet. Closed-loop control ensures reliable test execution both with displacement and load applications. No external transducer is required for displacement measurement. Sample failure is detected automatically and stops the test. Alternatively this feature can be disabled and a travel or time limit can be set instead.
This model is equipped with adjustable limit switches, mounted on one column. The interface is granted by a 7” capacitive color touchscreen display allowing the setting of speed/load and travel/load limits, data format download and graph settings, and saving of multiple pre-set test procedures. Real-time test graph and transducer data are displayed on the touchscreen.
Test data can be stored on 16GB internal memory, transferred to a USB pen drive or downloaded through LAN or RS232 communication port. All accessories have to be ordered separately.

Description
A bench mounted compression frame with motor and worm gear housed within the base unit. A limit switch is provided for the bottom limit of travel. The machine is supplied complete with load ring, 30 kN cap., incorporating stem brake feature to hold the maximum reading. For testing 6” dia. (152.4 mm) specimens, the 82-T1009/F load ring should be used instead of the 30 kN fit on the machine.All the load rings are provided with 0.001mm high resolution dial gauge, assuring a strict conformity to the standards. See accessories.
