Description

 

 

The machine consists essentially of a robust two column high stiffness frame (200 kN/mm) with an upper crosshead, which is factory-preset at your desired height, and of a lower mobile bi-directional crosshead adjustable by the user using the dedicated push buttton or via the PC software.

The machine features an advanced closed loop PID control system assuring very fast reaction time and extremely accurate test control, particularly important for critical tests, such as those on FRC and FRP specimens. The stress is measured by a load cell incorporated in the upper crosshead and the displacement by a high-resolution encoder with 0.1 micron resolution.
The machine is fitted with two limit switches working at upper and lower full travel and two additional limit switches adjustable by the client in the desired position, according to the specific accessory in use. A remote push-button is used to quickly position the lower crosshead.
 
The machine is supplied complete with:

  • High specs all-in-one PC 
  • Load cell 250 kN cap. Up to three other cells of lower capacity for tests on low strength materials can be connected (for not simoultaneous use)

Description

The slab compactors can compact asphalt slabs to a target density applying specific loads corresponding to those of pavements rollers used in the highway construction. The slab can be used for: 

  • Wheel tracking test down to 38 mm thickness
  • Cored to provide specimens for indirect tensile, static and dynamic creep tests
  • Cut into beams for benfing fatigue tests

The slab compactors are proposed in two versions:

  • Standard models
  • Advanced models, which also satisfy the compaction procedure of the brand new EN 12697-33 method 7.3 and include other important features. 

Electromechanical slab compactors feature a compacting system by roller segment head radius 535 mm. The roller segment freely moves by simple friction for better compaction uniformity. A brushless motor (standard models), or stepper motor (advanced models) moves vertically the roller segment under displacement control. the vertical load is applied orthogonally to the axis of the travel motion. the mould carriage moves back and forth by linear movement. The longitudinal (major) mould dimension correspond to the compaction direction so it is possible to obtain specimens of the proper lenght conforming to Standards. The lifting machine cover permit an easy access to the mould area. In the “rest” position, the mould is close to the operator for easy positioning while the roller segment is lifted and positioned at the back of the machine.

The Electromechanical slab compactor can be used as part of your Superpave performance based testing program.

Description

The PReSBOX® provides the latest in asphalt speciment preparation and mix evaluation technology. PReSBOX® produces high quality asphalt prisms from which beams and cylinders with excellent air voids distribution, homogeneity and particle orientation can be cut.

The unique shearing action of the PReSBOX® closely replicates the conditions under which asphalt is placed in the field and produces specimens with excellent homogeneity and volumetic properties, giving an exceptional measure of workability.

The PReSBOX® also provides an accurate measure of the workability (relative effort required for compaction) of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) needed in the field to achieve a target void content.
The PReSBOX® Shearbox Compactor features a PC interface for user entry of compaction parameters, and provides a real-time graphic display of data, e.g. specimen height, vertical stress and air voids per cycle.

Description

The slab compactors can compact asphalt slabs to a target density applying specific loads corresponding to those of pavements rollers used in the highway construction. The slab can be used for: 

  • Wheel tracking test down to 38 mm thickness
  • Cored to provide specimens for indirect tensile, static and dynamic creep tests
  • Cut into beams for bending fatigue tests

The slab compactors are proposed in two versions:

  • Standard models
  • Advanced models, which also satisfy the compaction procedure of EN 12697-33 and include other important features. 

Electromechanical slab compactors feature a compacting system by roller segment head radius 535 mm. The roller segment freely moves by simple friction for better compaction uniformity. A brushless motor (standard models), or stepper motor (advanced models) moves vertically the roller segment under displacement control. the vertical load is applied orthogonally to the axis of the travel motion. the mould carriage moves back and forth by linear movement. The longitudinal (major) mould dimension correspond to the compaction direction so it is possible to obtain specimens of the proper lenght conforming to Standards. The lifting machine cover permit an easy access to the mould area. In the “rest” position, the mould is close to the operator for easy positioning while the roller segment is lifted and positioned at the back of the machine.

The Electromechanical slab compactor can be used as part of your Superpave performance based testing program.

*PRO-COMPACT closed-loop is an innovative mechanical and electronic control that combines orthogonality of the load, pendulum motion of the head and sinusoidal non-friction forward-reverse carriage movement. This results in an optimally compacted sample that features Planarity Regularity and hOmogeneity (PRO).
The software is able to combine a load/displacement compaction. This procedure provides at the beginning of the test a controlled displacement compaction, which can grant a flat surface of the compacted slab, followed by a load compaction phase, which can replicate the real compaction on the road surface.

Description

 

The UNIFRAME-MINI machine is a fully automatic unit specifically designed for transverse deformation testing of tile adhesives and grouts in conformance with the stringent requirements of EN 12004.
Great attention has been given to the machine design, as shown by the high-stiffness frame which allows wide access to the test area, the robust loading anvil and supports, the easily readable touchscreen graphic display mounted at head-height and oriented towards the user at a comfortable angle, the appropriately positioned connection ports on the rear of the machine and the compact and ergonomic overall construction.
During operation, the machine measures the transverse deformation of a tile adhesive or grout strip specimen with prescribed dimensions (3mm thickness), whilst subjecting it to a 3-point bending load which is gradually increased in such a way that the transverse deformation is constant at 2mm/min. The test is completed when failure occurs.
The transverse deformation rate is automatically controlled by an advanced closed-loop controller based on a customized algorithm.
