Advanced Climatic Cabinets
Two versions of this advanced thermal chamber are available.

Advanced climatic cabinets 10-D1429/B, 10-D1429/D
Fitted with a new and improved thermoregulator, the intuitive interface features a 7” touchscreen color display that makes it easy to programme freezing and thawing cycles.
All models can record temperature, humidity (when applicable) and time measurements in full compliance with all the relevant Standards.
Version with temperature and humidity control is capable of generating 95% humidity with accuracy and reliability, making it also a perfect solution for cement specimen curing
Cabinet
Constructed from monobloc stainless steel, the cabinet has four shelves supported on stainless steel guides capable of holding heavy specimens. All internal angles have been rounded for easy cleaning. The cooling system and control unit are in the top of the cabinet for easy inspection and maintenance.
Insulation with high density (42 kg/m3) polyurethane 90mm thick is CFC free and reduces heat loss by 30% compared to similar having 60 mm thickness.
Thermostatic unit
Air circulation is ensured by two fans for optimum uniformity conditions in the chamber. Cooling is obtained by direct evaporation of CFC free refrigerant gas by evaporator, while heating is achieved by resistances. The de-humidification is controlled by a smooth tube evaporator, while the humidity control is based on pressure steam boiler and ensures humidity values above 95% to saturation.
Control unit
The front panel includes a large colour 7” touch screen display allowing:
- Manual control of the cabinet (setpoints, temperature rate, etc.)
- Easy programming of the thermal cycles (edit and perform of thermal cycles), even with delayed test start
- Data acquisition and recording of humidity, temperature and times values at sampling rate of 1 samples/minute.
- Simultaneous display of set points and absolute output values, both in numerical and graphical format.

Two versions of this advanced thermal chamber are available:
- 10-D1429/B: temperature controlled from -30 to 70°C, for testing aggregates conforming to EN 1367-1 and other similar tests on concrete and other construction materials;
- 10-D1429/D: temperature and humidity controlled respectively from -30 to 70°C and from 20 to ≥95% humidity, for aggregates and various other tests as for instance concrete and cement specimen curing (EN 196-1).
- High performing — Advanced controller with storage of 100 temperature and humidity cycle programs, each one with up to 64 segments.
Energy efficient — Heat loss is reduced by 30% thanks to a high density polyurethane insulation (42 kg/m3), CFC-free and 90mm thick (instead of the usual 60 mm).
Flexible — up to three movable temperature sensors (two optional) can be positioned inside the cabinet or placed in the sample to meet Standards’ requirements. One fixed also included as standard.
Standards compliant — temperature, humidity and time are all recorded in accordance with Standards.
High accuracy — ±1°C, ±5%RH (RH with 10-D1429/D models only).

Circulating Water Bath with Cooler Unit
This multi-purpose digital unit, fit with cooler unit and recirculating water system,

This multi-purpose digital unit, fit with cooler unit and recirculating water system, is used to condition in water asphalt specimens for Marshall and Indirect tensile test.
The EN 12697-23 covering the Determination of the indirect tensile strength of bituminous mixtures, prescribe a water conditioning temperature of 5°C or from 5 to 25°C which are obtainable with a cooling system.
All the other standards require conditioning temperatures from 25 to 60 °C.
This unit can also be used for many applications either for Asphalt or for Cement testing for curing in water cement specimens 40x40x160 mm, and for storing the hydrated samples at a temperature of 20°C (EN 196-8).
Internal surfaces are polished stainless steel with a sheet steel insulated outer case. The cooler unit is located under the water bath. Complete with re-circulating unit for temperature uniformity.

Electromechanical sieve shaver 15-D0410/A installed inside the noise reduction cabinet 15-D0410/CAB
The cabinets are made from steel sheets that can be lined internally with soudproof material in order to reduce the noise level during the machine operation.
With Los Angeles machines, it’s possible to install also an eletric switch device which stops the machine operation when opening the cabinet door.
The cabinets dedicated for Los Angeles machines and all compactors are provided with opening for external mounting of the control panel.
The various models can be summarized following these key points:
- NOISE REDUCTION: manufactured from steel sheets and lined internally with soundproofing material, helping to significantly reduce working noise level.
- SAFETY SWITCH: manufactured from steel sheets. When the door is opened, the machine is stopped automatically. Essential for compliance to CE directives for dangerous machines.
- NOISE REDUCTION & SAFETY SWITCH: the combination of the two, provides noise reduction and CE compliance.
- Cabinets are made in steel sheets easily assembled on site by the user
- The sound proofing is ensured by lining specially designed to significantly reduce the noise level

Water bath for Penetration Tests
Specifically designed for penetration tests of bituminous materials.

It includes heating elements whose effect is compensated by a cooling coil that can be connected to mains water, with minimum water consumption.
The digital thermoregulator, with 0.1°C accuracy, features a PT100 immersion probe which can be placed close to the test specimen or anywhere inside the bath.
This grants a highly accurate PID control, overcoming traditional systems in which the temperature is measured in an external water chiller, therefore not representing the real bath temperature.
Penetration tests are typically performed at 25°C, however special test conditions may occur, in which case the cooling coil can be connected to an external chiller (see accessories) for bath temperatures down to 5°C ± 0.1 °C.
The chiller is also useful in cases of very hot environments in which mains water temperature is higher than 25°C.
