Uniaxial and Triaxial Testing on Rocks

Hoek cells for triaxial test on rock sample (32-D055X/HC)

Most of the information obtained from rock mechanics laboratory tests are primarily related to the stress and strain characteristics of the tested materials. The tests most generally performed on cylindrical rock specimen are the evaluation of the compressive strength and strain: under uniaxial or triaxial conditions. Wykeham Farrance has a complete range of testing systems for the determination of Elastic Modulus / Poisson’s ratio and strength of rock cores in uniaxial and triaxial conditions. Three different configurations are available to satisfy every level of sophistication and budget requirements.
